How We Fund

The NTR Foundation’s mission is to address the challenges posed by climate change, resource sustainability and security of energy supply through the provision of targeted financial and expert support to projects, research and non-governmental organisations.

This will be done through a combination of traditional grant-making and the use of venture philanthropy methodology. The NTR Foundation benefits from a funding commitment from NTR plc of €5 million cash and 2.26 million NTR plc ordinary shares. In addition, NTR Group businesses in the US and Ireland will each provide matched funding for green projects in their own communities over the next five years.
