What We Do

There are three strands to the work of the NTR Foundation. Firstly, investment in international projects, secondly activities in the local communities of NTR Group Businesses, in the US and Ireland and thirdly, investment in policy and research.

Each strand of work responds to the global challenges of climate change, sustaining natural resources and addressing security of energy supply. The NTR Foundation will follow a venture philanthropy model in their funding. This means providing the organisation we invest in with capacity-building support in addition to our financial investment. By taking this approach to grant making we hope to encourage entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and strong leadership. We will also look for measurable social and environmental impacts of the work we fund and hope to ensure the long term sustainability of the organisations we support.
