Each year there will be an opportunity for businesses in the NTR plc portfolio to receive matched funding from the NTR Foundation for projects that are strictly mission aligned and have a direct impact in their regional/ local communities in Ireland and the US.
Overview
Each year, businesses in the NTR plc portfolio will have the opportunity to receive matched funding from the NTR Foundation for projects that have a direct impact in their own communities in the US and Ireland.
These projects must be strictly aligned with the mission of the NTR Foundation.
These projects will be entrepreneurial solutions to the challenges of climate change, resource sustainability and security of energy supply, where strategic investment will have a significant and measurable societal and environmental impact.
PLEASE NOTE: The NTR Foundation will not respond to unsolicited applications. All applications must be brought forward to the NTR Foundation by a sponsoring NTR Group Business.

Case Study
The Hymany Way Project
The Hymany Way is a 48km walkers trail in East Galway, which runs from Portumna Bridge to Aughrim. The walkway was officially opened to the public after receiving matched funding from the NTR Foundation and Greenstar Ireland.
Carbon Disclosure Project
The NTR Foundation is the principal sponsor of the Carbon Disclosure Project in Ireland. This sponsorship will fund the launch and publication of the Carbon Disclosure Project Ireland 2010 report.
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland
The NTR Foundation is a flagship sponsor of Social Entrepreneurs Ireland’s Annual Awards Ceremony and awardees, as part of a three year partnership to help inject practical support for those people who are prepared to take risks for social change. Social entrepreneurs Ireland’s mission compliments NTR’s entrepreneurial culture, which has been the bedrock of its significant growth and success across our renewable energy and recycling markets.
